Word of The Day 2/19/11
Trusting God means looking beyond what we can see to what God sees.
David knew its was God's strength and wisdom, not his own, that would triumph. David faced one of the greatest challenges of his life. A trained, well armed and enormous warrior named Goliath (1 samuel 17)
But the your shepherd wisely remined himself that God had always delivered him from the brink of disaster and enabled him to triumph.
The secret of David's success was his ability to trust God.
Had he looked only at the challenge facing him, he would have turned and run as did the other Israelites. But throught faith, David saw what his countrymen did not. At some point all of us will face a giant difficulty.
It is important to respond with unshakable faith that looks beyond what we can see to what God sees. Whatever Goliath you face, know that God loves you, and when you place your trust in Him, He will not allow you to suffer defeat.
Life may not always turn out as your planned-but ultimately, God will be glorified, and you will be blessed.
