Word of the Day 3/12/2011

With so many changes in our world people everywhere are asking: how do I find God’s will for my life? People who have relied on their company’s loyalty for decades are suddenly wondering how they will support their families.

Many College graduates are finding it difficult to find work. People have lost their homes while others have been gaining from their loss.

And devastation is occurring throughout the world. Why would God let this happen and what does He intend for us do about it?

We should all understand that God does have a plan for each of our lives and when we operate within these plans, we soon discover His will for the many situations we face, Jeremiah 29:11 tells us that God ‘s plan includes the future-He sees the big picture when we can’t .

Living within the will of God requires something from each of us. We must yield our lives through personal surrender to Jesus Christ.

Many accept Jesus as their Savoir but avoid making Him Lord over every area of their life.

They believe that He died for their sins and yet continue to spend their money and time without a second thought about what God would have them do.

Faced with certain death Jesus, Jesus prayed, Not My will, but Yours be done. Read Luke 24:22. The surrender Jesus displayed should be our standard.

When you surrender to God, you no longer choose to live your life for yourself: instead you are deciding to live the way He has chosen for you.

What does this mean? That very real change will take place in your daily activities. The Lord takes part in the believer’s life, the good and the bad and weaves all of it together to form a beautiful work of art, Read Romans 8:28.

It may be hard for some to imagine how God could or would possibly bring good out of their situation. But He does it every day. Have you surrendered to Him?
