Web World: Kids React to Controversial Cheerios Commercial

(KTVI) – While some adults had a negative reaction to a Cheerios commercial that featured an interracial couple, some kids who saw the commercial didn’t consider race at all.
YouTube User “The FineBros” showed the commercial to 12 children and recorded their reaction.
Initially, the children thought it was a cute Cheerios commercial and nothing more, But once the children, ages 7 to 13, were told that some people were upset by the use of an interracial couple in the commercial, they were visibly confused.
The children proclaimed that they didn’t think it was fair that people would judge a commercial on race. One child even stated, “That’s so stupid.”
The video was posted to YouTube Sunday night and has gotten nearly 3 million views so far.
